Gloom and Doom

I guess I better update my blog. Not much is going on. I had the cortisone shot for the inflammation in my knee. The pain has been screaming at me night and day. The shot was supposed to take effect in about 48 to 72 hours. Today has been a full week and I do believe it is beginning to take effect. I had an appointment this morning with the eye doctor. I sat in the waiting room for one full hour along with about a dozen other people. It’ll teach you to be patient if nothing else. I had two errands to run after that and was able to do it without too much pain. I could have not done it yesterday.
Gloom, despair, and agony on me Deep, dark depression, excessive misery If it weren't for bad luck, I'd have no luck at all. Do you remember Hee Haw?

At least he didn't dialate your eye!

But he did dialate my eyes. I just pretended I could see and went about my business. Yeah, I know. I'm pretty scary.

Indeed, scary. But what the heck, someone had to do those things, right? Just put on the funny disposable glasses and grab a white cane. Then watch in amusement as people freak out when you get in the car and drive away.

I think the Dr.'s would agree, the more you do on a new knee the faster you heal, but because of our age, we have to advocate for ourselves more because we ARE in tune with our body even if we don't agree with a doctor now and then. Feel free to complain!
My best memory of Hee Haw was Junior Samples saying that Lulu, "Sure din't sweat much for a fat girl.!

Glad it is starting to take effect. Have you ever seen Ice Age (a cartoon movie) the Dodos (birds) Chant Doom and Gloom, it is hilarious! We will bring it to you if you have not seen it. You will love it.
