Puffs is My Pet Peeve

A tissue is not necessarily what you get when you buy a box of the things. I bought the Kleenex brand. Kleenex in the past had very nice tissues. They now sell the one nostril kind. They are still two ply, but very small and thin. If you have two nostrils you might want to consider Puff’s. When I caught this latest bug that is going around I needed the large industrial type so I grabbed a box of Puff’s while at the store. Came home and opened up box and pulled out a tissue and stuck my nose into it, then proceeded to gag for about 15 minutes. I had picked up a box of Puffs with Vicks. If there is an odor I hate more, I’m not sure what it is. Why can’t things be left alone. If they are going to change something they should at least tell you what they did to it, by printing it on the box. The manufacturers always think they need to change everything. They love making things a little smaller so they can get more of your money for less of their product.
I just feel like griping a little. I could go on and on, but guess I’ll drop it.

I share your rant! For five years either at work or at someone's home,
I have grabbed a tissue to clean my glasses only to realize that it was a Puffs! It is just like rubbing butter on your glasses and takes really hot water and soap to break it all down. Vick's Puffs are like lard with a stink!

I just use a sleeve...for both the nose and my glasses...which, come to think of it, should probably be called plastics, since there's no glass in them.

Cora sheepishly admits "i like them" What I hate are colored tissues don't know why they just bug me.

My daughter's nose gets very red when she has a cold and I always buy the Puffs for her, but I look for the ones with lotion. Granted they aren't good on glasses, but they are kind to her little nose. I can see where Vick's would bug you if you don't have a cold and don't like the smell.

My pet peeve is aloe. Why do they have to put it in EVERYTHING!?!? What's worse- I'm allergic to aloe. So every time I come in contact with it, I get an itching, burning rash. Yay.
