Hot Air Conventions

Do you watch the Hot Air Conventions? I have nothing against either party (that’s a bunch of hot air too), but have you ever heard so much masterminding. If only one tenth of what they propose would materialize it would be a miracle.
Oh politics, oh politics spare us the mumbo-jumbo and discord
Just let us choose and vote and get it over with.

Happy Birthday

My birthday was August 24th and some of the family thought an 80th Birthday was a big deal and so a party was planned. Not everybody could make it on that day so a different day was chosen, which was Aug 30. That happens to be labor day weekend and everybody had already made other plans for that as well, or they were coming up with excuses, so another day was chosen which is the 6th of September. If I live that long. At my age they better get a date set and stick with it. Just kidding!!!! I am looking forward to it a lot.

My little 3 year old friend, Corriene, came calling yesterday. She had these three roses clutched in her little hand. It was adorable and I wish I would taken a picture of her. She said they are for my 80 birthdays. The best gift I have ever received.

Baloney

The suggested way to buy baloney and how to buy it (nobody asked, but in case somebody does) . I just want you to know I have looked into the matter. That means I glanced over at the deli when I was in Albertson’s the other day. Yes, indeedie they do sell baloney in the deli. Now, let me tell you this. When you get elderly your marbles began to roll away from you. Now and then one will roll back, but not often. That’s my excuse, now what’s yours?

Baloney Issues

When you live alone buying food can be a problem. For instance one day I felt hungry for an old fashioned baloney sandwich. I ate a lot of baloney sandwiches as a kid at home. I especially enjoyed them in the summer when tomatoes were good. So I bought some baloney. The smallest size had about 40 slices in it. The sandwich was wonderful, but I only wanted one sandwich and now I have a ton of left over baloney.

I shared this problem with my hairdresser. She told me to buy my baloney at Top Foods because they sell it in their Deli and I could buy one slice. I told her it would take a gallon of gas to go down there and back and there goes $4.37. So we decided I may as well feed my left-over baloney to the dog. I suppose it would freeze, but when will I ever want another baloney sandwich.
Life gets exhausting here in the fast lane.

I'm not really all that serious. I have been eating baloney until it's coming out of my ears.

Frustrations of TV, Phone and Internet

Got my bill today for my bundled services, telephone, broadband and television. I am not a happy camper. They did not deduct the $15.00 I have coming. They were going to start it on this bill and let it run for the full year because they cannot give me a lump sum for the past months. I called and talked to Jonathan. He said it will start on my next bill. That was about the sixth time I've heard that story.

I just wrote a complaint to the Federal Trade Commission. On their web site they have a place you can fill out your complaints about businesses. When I submitted it they said my complaint has been entered into the consumer sentinel. Whatever that means. Maybe somebody will read it. That's probably all that will come of it, but if they get enough complaints maybe they will make them change their policies and treat us like they want us to treat them.

Babies and Caps

I sold the blue blanket and the multi-colored one, but the pink one didn't sell. Now I am into making beanie caps for the little set. I will post some pictures when I get more made. I sent the ones I had to a 2 year old nephew in Oklahoma. I only have this one picture, but I didn't have a model to use. (Hint hint, Brandi)

I did not make the hat for the baby in the picture.

Miracles of Miracles

Miracles of miracles!! Benjamin, from the TV company had left a message on my machine that the problem with the billing has been corrected and will show on my next bill..I am not holding my breath, but I'm thinking it's a step in the right direction.
