Stuffing for a Blah Blog

I live such a dull life I enjoy just seeing another human being and to get in a car and go some place, any place, is a thrill. Today Chris and I both had hair appointments. Our appointments were at 1 PM. We started out at about 11:30 and had so much time to kill so we went to Safeway because Pepsi was on sale. An hour later our baskets were full so we checked out. At least I got caught up on all the things I have been out of. Then we went to Robin so she could cut our hair. I got a long awaited perm and Chris got a cut and some highlights. Then we went to a very late lunch or a very early dinner whichever you want to call it. My hunger called it a very late lunch so I made a pig of myself. Now it's nearly 9 PM and I am still not hungry.
That was all I did but I was so weary tired for what reason I do not know. Probably from over stuffing myself.
I don't have much to write about anymore but just thought I'd check in. The poem is something Chris says a lot. She said she got it from her Dad.

Spring has sprung
The grass has ris
I wonder where
the little flowers is

I'm outta here!

Boredom Is Upon Us

It can't get much boring than this.
Today I cooked a fowl in the oven, but I fouled it up, I didn't cook it long enough and it had a foul taste because it was still raw. You can eat raw beef and won't die, but chicken meat needs to be cooked to a certain temperature or it could be deadly or at least make you sick and not only that it doesn't taste very well. I'm telling you this as if you wouldn't know otherwise. I'm assuming my two readers dropped out of school.
I'm so bored I am thinking about buying a ukulele or small guitar to see if I can learn how to play it. I have a music keyboard and haven't had any luck with it. I learned how to play a couple of tunes with chords, but any five year old could do the same thing. Sassy even gets fed up with it. It's in the bedroom and when I start playing it she comes in and gets on my bed and  starts jumping around like crazy. Or just maybe she is dancing to my music, that's it!
Oh,PS. I cooked the chicken until it was dead this time.
Now, I'm going to see if that Basketball game is over.
TaTA till next time.

Blink and Bat

I'm waiting for my hair to dry.  It takes two hours. That's about as exciting as it gets around here these days. Now tomorrow is going to be different because I will get shot, in the arm that is. Prolia shot.
The next day I will have a bone scan. Then the calendar is blank the rest of the month. Blank is what it's all about lately. When you're lucky enough to even see someone, you can't really see them, all you see is a mask. To smile at a stranger you just blink your eyes at them instead.  Blink or bat, what is the difference? Just don't wink.
I started this yesterday, so the shot is today.
I'm looking forward to it because Chris will be taking me and then we will be going for a late lunch or an early dinner. Whatever it's called we will be able to eat inside a restaurant if they are not overly busy. We still need to be six feet apart. They allow you to take the mask off long enough to eat.
I saw a lady on TV that had on a mask with a big smile drawn on the mask.
As you can see I have nothing to write about so I shall sign off and stare out the window some more.
He was born in 1920. Not sure what year the car is.
His name is Kenneth AKA Bud.

Never too old to Learn

I learn something new almost everyday. Today I learned that the Red Cross is there for us. No matter how petty you think the problem is.
I had a beeping noise that I couldn't decide where it was coming from. About every twenty seconds or so something would beep. It was most irritating. I decided it must be the smoke detectors. The batteries must have died. I don't climb ladders too well so I called the Red Cross because a few years ago they installed the smoke alarms. Well, they no longer have anyone in this area to service them. He said he would call around and see what could be done. In the meantime Polly, my neighbor, came in to give me my mail. She said, "Your smoke monoxide detector is beeping". My what is beeping? I said. So she went to her home and came back with some tools and set about taking it off the wall and replaced the battery, I happened to have a battery on hand. She put the new battery in and Lo and behold it stopped beeping. I said, "Well, thank you Polly. I will crochet her something.
I had forgotten all about the Red Cross and when I was having dinner the phone rang. (the phone always rings when you have dinner).
It was the Red Cross and said when you have such a problem call 911 and they will send the Fire Dept without the bells and whistles out and take care of the problem. Everything seems to be normal again. I am very impressed with the red Cross for caring about me and my little problem. I should give them some blood but I'm already so tired I can't do anything. Blood test said it was normal. I think lack of good sleep is the problem.
