Wild Goose Chase

Chris and I went out on a wild goose chase today searching for Robin She lives in a mobile home court. We've been there before but forgot the house number. I had an appointment with her for a hair cut. Neither of us could recall where it was exactly so we drove around and around the court over the speed bumps until I started calling them the Bladder bumps. She didn't answer her text messages or phone calls. The mobile homes all looked similar so we finally gave up and found the nearest Walmart, a few dollars lighter we decided to forget it and start over another day.
Ellensburg may get some snow in September! That must be a first.
Nothing new from my view.

I can wait!

Have a Blast

When you wake up you never know what you are facing. Was there another terrible storm or a shooting? Or some new Punkism movement. Just dodge the bullets and relax! The worst is yet to come. If you're old you're probably in pain of some kind or so old and tired you can barely move.
If you wonder what someone is doing just go to their Facebook page.
A waiting room is full of people with phones in their hands.  Nowadays we don't visit people we hang with them. Don't you have friends you hang with?
I am all of the above and below.

Boredom Rules

Who wants to live to be 100? Not I said the little red hen. See, I'm in my second childhood! Is there a 3rd childhood? I'll probably make that one too.
Winter is approaching and those are gloomy days. Look on the brighter side, when the snow starts flying it'll be brighter.
One night recently we had a thunder storm. It woke me up in the middle of the night and I couldn't understand for a while what it was. I thought something was happening on my street. I finally caught on. They don't happen very often around here, that's my excuse.
I am so thankful we don't (knock on wood) have those awful storms around here. I know there could be a first.

Well, you know I have no place to go and nothing to do so I think I will go to bed. I can take up where I left off tomorrow.

Happy September to you.

Gripe and Groan

The climate is changing. Living on another planet may be the only solution. I'm not losing any sleep over it yet.
We're going to have an undercover Water Park here, it is expected to open in November. It doesn't sound like much fun in the Wintertime.
The days are endless, and the nights are more than endless. If I could still drive everything would be fine. I feel trapped. I  can crochet and knit but you can only use so much of that stuff. I like to work crossword puzzles now and then but not constantly. I enjoyed the Jigsaw Puzzles that Facebook had, but those are messed up and impossible for me to get one to open. I don't understand why they had to get so complicated. I used to work Freecell until I burned out on it. I don't care for the games I've looked into and reading is for the birds.
That's my tale of woe!

What's yours?

More of the Same

I think I'm happiest when I don't have to go anywhere. The injections are behind me, but not in my behind, one in the eye and one in the arm. The one in the arm hurt much more than the eye did. I think it was the injector more so than the injection. They have never been painful in the past. I heard another lady complaining about the pain, so you know I'm not just a wimp.
The medical appointments are over for a few weeks.
Our weather is a wee bit cooler and it's so nice. I have A/C as most folks have in this town so when I go out in the heat it's horrible.
Well, we're in September and that's how it works.
The County Fair will soon be on. You have to have walking legs to go to that place and an empty tummy because they have lots of yummy junk food.

He respects our flag. We have so many worthless human beings on our planet now it's unreal.

Happy trails to you..............
My sibs, four of us are still here.

Autumn Leaves

When you get this far over the hill you just try to hang on as long as you can. Life goes on and we get by the best we can. I have a very low tolerance for waiting for anything. One of my doctors must move like a snail. It's always a two-hour wait until I wised up. I now make my appointments for the earliest one they have available so I can hurry home and sit in my recliner. I have a 7:30 AM appointment next week with an eye doctor. I will be getting a shot in my eyeball, it doesn't hurt at all, but I always flinch and nearly jump out of the chair. I think most of us would do anything to save our eyesight.
Summer will soon be over and the leaves will be falling off the trees. I love the Fall colors and weather.

At my very best

Memories

I found this strange picture and I don't know what the occasion was. I think that is Jim Huffman on my left. Probably someone's birthday.
I finished a crocheting project and what a relief it is. I think I'm going to hang the crochet hook up for a while.
I wish the Hurricane would fizzle out. It must be terrible to have your home and everything you own destroyed.
My first grandkids
I'm just killing time until bedtime and it's about that time.

Dine and Whine

Chris and I decided to go out for breakfast this morning. We chose a restaurant that is popular and we've been there before, but we probably won't go back very soon if ever.
When we walked through the door everything seemed to go into slow motion. The waitress brought water and the menu right away. She finally came to take our order. Chris ordered a biscuit and gravy and onion rings, I ordered eggs, bacon, hashbrowns and coffee. We waited and waited and waited some more and the food was finally set on our table. Chris's biscuit didn't have nearly enough gravy and my toast was missing so I waited and waited and Chris had to finally try to catch someone to let them know she had not received her ranch dressing and my toast. We continued to wait and wait until Chris saw a cook so she asked if the toast was ready yet and he said 'what toast'? Finally, the waitress comes to our table and says she didn't know I wanted toast. By now my eggs and bacon were cold. Well, it seems to save money we ordered from the build your own order. I was so ignorant I assumed toast would come with an order of Bacon, eggs and hashbrowns. Chris had to ask twice for Ranch dressing before it came.
They didn't hesitate about taking our money.
