A Family Day

I had a fun day today. My brother and part of his family came over the mountain to see me.
We went to a great place for lunch called Cowiche Creek Kitchen, then we crashed Chloe's 9th birthday party. When we all get together there is a house full of us. We talked about everything under the sun and caught up on each other's lives.
I didn't take pictures, but I know others were snapping them left and right. Maybe they will post some on Facebook. We discussed the hop fields and marijuana fields. We could call them Pot fields or weed fields would also be correct. We drove by a few on our way out to Moxee where my son lives. Jim and Cora live out there too.
I should sleep like a log tonight since I hardly slept a wink last night. So I think I'll bring this thing to an end and call it a day.

Dale was taking the pictures so he didn't take a selfie. This is a
different day and I did sleep like a log.

A Short Tale

I don't get much of anything in my Snail Box except Ads and other junk, but for some reason people have been parking too close to it. The Post office said it needs to be ten feet from the box. Now I have one parked within 4 feet of it and the carrier didn't leave anything. Maybe there wasn't any junk for me today or is it because the car was in the way? I guess they don't want to park too close to the fire plug . People are going in and out of that house all the time. No, it's not a drug dealer or a Brothel because they stay for a few days or weeks unless they have a special going on. Do Brothels have specials?

More Drivel

I have a new laptop and it sure is fun. The keyboard is working great. On the old keyboard it would enter the letter twice or not show it at all. I nearly always had to redo the M key. My cursed curser was not working right on this one but Kenny came over and changed some settings and now I have no complaints at all.
Fall is officially here and it is wonderful with the cooler weather. It's my favorite season.
I can save some money now that I no longer have the lawn mowed. Well, maybe a couple more weeks. My neighbor mows it and she decides when it doesn't need to be mowed. I told her not to shovel snow from my driveway this year because I no longer have a car. She said she is going to shovel it because when I have company they will need a place to park. I told her I will tell them to bring a shovel. I am not paying to have the driveway shoveled. So there!!
I'm entitled to be an old grouch after all these years.
Next week I will have visitors from the West side as we say here on the East side. My little brother, Hollis and some of his family are coming over. Hollis is 80 years old now, but he's still my little brother.
Life is a mystery. Does it just go on forever and we just get recycled like nuts falling off a tree. You know the acorn just turns into another Oak tree.
Now, all the fanatics will say, "Oh, you must not be a Christian if you believe that." If God judges us on every little thing we think and say then Heaven is going to be a mighty lonely place.

I obviously don't have anything important to say so I will bring this to an end and let you get back to your business.
Don't judge me by my punctuation's. I didn't pay much attention in school and if I did learn something I have forgotten it by now.

People Never Change

People do what other people do. Some brilliant soul one day decided a little green grass would look nice in the front yard so he made it happen. A neighbor decided to plant some grass in his front yard. Now all the neighborhood have grass growing in their front yards. It requires nothing but work. It keeps growing so we need to mow it down, so once a week we mow it down. If you live where it doesn't rain much you need to invest in some water hoses. Someone needs to move those water hoses around so all the grass gets watered. The lawn mower needs to be replaced with a riding one, heaven forbid if we have to walk behind one of those things. Now we are getting a lot of money invested in this yard with the green grass, but what would the neighbors think if we had a bunch of rocks dumped in the yard and spread out so it covers all the green grass. Think of the money we save. Well, if they don't like it they can lump it. Here comes the rock
The neighbors laugh and gossip about it for awhile, then they begin to envy this neighbor that sits on front porch drinking lemonade while they are mowing their grass. Now we are seeing more and more of the rock covered yards. People never change much.

A moment in the past.

Here I sit with a new laptop bringing me joyous joys.
I tried to add something to my blog last night, but it wouldn't let me publish it. I shall try again.
My Granddaughter, Deena and her twin sons, Dylan and Tylor. I think it was about 24 years ago.

Life Moves On

I reached ninety years which is a long time. I have no energy left for anything. It may not be caused from the old age. I am going to a Dr. to find out for sure what the problem is.
Summer will soon move out. It'll be 77 tomorrow and cooler through the weekend. I look forward to each season except Winter.
I can live without that one.
I have six granddaughters, and ten great grandkids, and one on the way. It's always fun looking forward to a new baby.
I have tried to keep up with the electronic world. Computers came on the scene before I retired. I was working for the local Credit Bureau and we had a heyday learning about computers. Ours only had credit reports in them. We spent many hours transferring the credit history from a  written report in a small brown envelope into a machine. We eliminated all those filing cabinets. When I retired from there I bought my own personal computer.
I mentioned it to a friend at church and she responded in shock and said she couldn't justify buying one of those things. Well, that set me back a notch or two. You would have thought I had bought a two-headed goat. I realized I was the only one I knew of in my circle of friends that had one. Well, so be it!
I heard about blogs and since I have always enjoyed writing I
decided I can do that. I needed help with the cover page and the layout. This was my favorite pastime writing in the blog.
One day I received a call from a Newspaper reporter and he asked if he could interview me. He said he had found my blog online and couldn't stop reading so he put an article in our local paper about the 80 year old woman blogging about her life. Some other newspapers picked it up and now I'm ninety and tired.
Emily and her two little ones are missing.
