Logic

You never see a silver dollar anymore. Well, maybe you do but I don't. That may be because I never go shopping.  I excel in logic. For instance, if you don't want to get Covid get the vaccine. Or it might cause you to grow two heads. Well, maybe you need another one.
I no longer have any friends, they all went to the great beyond. How do we know it's so great? No one ever returned so it must be great.
I'm at an age when you buy groceries, buy the smaller size, you may not be here next week. When the Dr wants to see you in a year. Wow! Dr thinks I'm in great health.
I am required to file an annual report to the secretary of State regarding this so-called Condo I am buying. It was due in June and I failed to file it. Now it is so far past due I have to pay $35 late fees. Or write them a letter explaining why I am so late with the payment.
It's because I'm 93 and I forgot.
It's past my bedtime, I forgot to go to bed.

Sleep or not to Sleep

I can't watch the TV, it puts me to sleep. I don't want to go to sleep this early so I force myself to stay awake. Wow! I stayed awake until ten PM. So off to bed I go. I adjust my pillow just right and make sure I can reach the extra blanket just in case. Snug as a bug in a rug, and now I lay myself down to sleep I pray the doors are locked and the sheep don't bleat. I don't like the bleating sheep disturbing my sleep.
The brain flies open and all the things I don't want to think about come right in. I open my eye and peek at the clock every few seconds. I need to flip the pillow over because I like a cold pillow. Can you buy cold pillows? I'll have to google that.

I need to stop looking at that clock so I turn over so I can't see it. My imaginary friend keeps telling me I need to go potty again, It's time to flip the pillow over again. It's time to amputate the imaginary friend.
It is ten o'clock so goodnight to all!

Less than Nothing

In case there are folks out there that have not noticed yet the world is turning into a loony bin. I dialed a big business out of the area and found the phone number on their website. It was a long 1-800-800- etc number. A voice answered the phone with a simple hello and I thought that was odd but I proceeded to tell him what I had called about when the voice said, "Mom, this is your son, Mel, I'm at the car wash".
Not sure why I didn't recognize his voice.

The evening news opens with the latest shooting. A girl was shot Saturday in the chest and the bullet found an area that caused no problem she has been released from the hospital. Now girls are involved in gang fights.

What is all this smoke doing to our lungs?
I turned the A/C on because I thought the cleaning lady was coming. She called and will come in the morning. I forgot about it until I started shivering so time to turn it off.
Well goodbye...

Killing Time

Karen Lemaster Engel
She wasn't an Engel yet.

Another day, nothing new. Bad news is all we hear these days.
I am glad I was born when I was, but I sure would hate to live it over. There are so many crazy things going on now, wear a mask in public or risk getting the deadly flu.

I just started this post to pass some time away. Well, I see it is almost my time
 to call it a day.
Goodnight all.

Belly Acher

Blue skies and no masks would be wonderful.
Gloom, doom, and covid belong in the same sentence.
Will things return to normal? Only time will tell.
Now it's normal to find things out of stock.
Starbucks Frappuccino coffee drinks are difficult to find in this town, Yakima, WA. so I decided I would order a case of them through Amazon. Well, guess what, they don't cover this area. What's wrong with this area? When shopping you find many shelves bare such as cat food. I'm unable to go shopping but my shopper helper tells me about it.
I can give up the Coffee habit. I gave up smoking once upon a time so I can give up this habit and lose some weight and save money (whatever that is).
Little disappointments are daily events such as no Newspaper this morning. We will get the paper later today the message said. They are having a production problem, they had a production problem a week or so ago. I expect Newspapers will soon be a thing in our past. With the internet, we can find all the news we need.

Same Sappy Stuff

Now that I am elderly, old, over the hill, I am half blind, memory deficient, and can't remember who, when, how, what, or where.
Wear a mask and that requires memory to remember the mask. I still remember what a mask is so there is hope for me.
Hmm, I watch Dr. Phil and I learn things from him. One thing I thought I had learned but I need another lesson. He said we believe what we tell ourselves.
No more criticism.
I watch the folks on TV trying to teach us something and some are about as bright as a 40-watt light bulb.
