Winter Blahs

Getting a little chilly, time to put the Chili pot on. Not really. but I would like some good homemade chili. I think I have the makings for it. I have the ground beef and a can of pinto beans, I would have to find a recipe. But first I need to cook that pork chop I thawed out for today but didn't eat.

This is why I don't write much anymore. I have nothing to talk about. Chris and I made some plans we are getting our hair cut so I have that to look forward to. Yipee!! how exciting. After we get our locks cut off we will find a place to eat. No, we already decided on that. Chris has been in Nashville and just got back. She probably cut one of those country music albums. I think she calls country music, Goat chewing music. 

I decided to get some hearing aids which will break the bank. It takes awhile. I've waited this long so I guess I can wait awhile longer. 

I told the man I am 93 years old so if I depart before they are ready could he forward them to Heaven. I think he thought I was serious because he said if that happened the family would be reimbursed for the cost. SO REMEMBER THAT, FAMILY.

Well, I killed a little time so I think I will scan the TV.

Before Google, we had the party line. When you decided to have phone service you could get a much better rate if you accepted a party line, meaning you would share the line with two or three other families. If they weren't using the phone you could use it. If you were the curious type you could listen to their conversation and if they were nosey they would snoop in on your conversation. You could learn very valuable information such as what they were having for dinner that night and interesting things like that. This was before blocks, you couldn't block anything. It was what it was and it wasn't forbidden! So everyone used their lily-white language just in case. A block was something the kids left on the floor and you stepped on later in the night on your way to the bathroom. Nothing was blocked. 

Nothing new from this side of town so I think I'll shut this down for the night.

Passwords

I wish someone would come up with a way to end passwords. Or if the same password would work with everything. Or they could use your fingerprint or picture. Maybe soon it will change. 

For entertainment I watch the fat people. I feel sorry for them because I know it could be me. Some folks don't care what others think but I'm not one of them. It's called pride. I care what others think of me. I sound like I am a skinny Minnie but I don't even come close to that. When I worked in the public I cared how I looked and worked on it. Now I am old and then some so I know my days are numbered and I may as well enjoy what time I have left. That includes eating. 

Now prices are going up temporarily. Isn't that a laugh! When do prices ever come down? 

They must pay a lot to get people to do the reality shows. How would you like a camera man following you around all day with a camera? Not my cup of tea. 

I always liked, Big World Little People. I don't know if it's still on or not. I never remember to look for it.

Challenge

I no longer love a challenge. I can't remember anything long enough for it to be a challenge. I have to look at the phone to see what day it is and not just once a day. Why do I care what day it is? The sun came up and the sun will go down. 

Chris and I were out and about the other day. Wear the mask. I noticed some do and some don't and some won't and some are without because they forgot it. I forget to put it on. I got a pedicure because I cannot see well enough to trim toenails. Everyone had on a mask in that place.

Mel and Nancy came over today and we chatted awhile. We didn't have on our masks.  Mel always seems to be in a happy mood. It's his personality, he has always been a cheerful type of person. Maybe those that live and work with him have a different slant on it.
