New Day

Getting younger everyday.

Wendy, Tylor and Aniyah

I had a birthday party for my oldest son, he is now 70. I also have a new great-great-granddaughter and she also came to the party and she stole the attention from great-grandpa, but he didn't seem to mind.

Winter Blahs

The powers that be decided we needed to have a little snow dumped on us. It snowed and blew like there was no tomorrow. It may continue until morning according to the weather forecast.
It's happening over most of the state. It's Winter time so it's expected bla bla bla.
I spend more time watching old YouTubes then TV. I listen to music and to some of the old comedians.  I find free crochet instructions and I can learn better from YouTube than a written pattern. When the Spring thaw happens I am going yarn shopping. I don't like to order it because I need to see it first. Shopping is a real challenge for me. My back hurts when I stand up so I spend most of my time sitting and you can't shop from one of those motorized buggies. I look like a yoyo bobbing up and down to get a better look at something or the aisle is so full of shoppers you can't do anything, but concentrate on your driving, so you don't bump into someone and cause a case of road rage. I guess it would be called lane rage.

Facebook is interesting to me, but  I wish people would keep their political views to themselves.
I don't add much to this blog because I have no life anymore, I'm just idling until I hear my name called.
I'm not on a diet and I know I don't eat nearly as much as I have in the past, but I never lose an ounce. I am so inactive that may be the reason and probably the metabolism has also slowed down like everything else has except the bladder is running in high gear.
It's time to shut up and go look at Facebook again.
Have a great whatever.

Sometimes It Works

I have been fooling around with this thing since 2009. Nothing ever happens anymore. I seldom go anywhere. I'm a stay at home hermit. A couple days ago I didn't turn on my TV all day or evening. I don't think I missed anything. My cat is more bored than I am. I heard a thud in the kitchen that scared me and Sassy heard it too and went running out there. That scared me even more because I knew it wasn't my imagination. I think it's my refrigerator. I've heard that noise before when I'm in the kitchen. I hope it isn't going to die. I can think of other things I would rather have than a new refrigerator.
I would like a new cell phone. This one has no more storage and it's pretty much worthless. I took it down to T-Mobile and she moved stuff on to the storage card, but it was only a couple days and it no longer has any storage again.

Chris takes me shopping and to appointments. I appreciate that so much. The other day it was Taco Tuesday at the Warehouse Bar and Grill so we went there and joined a couple friends. It was fun. We don't drink but we eat Taco's. And bought a few pull tabs. It wasn't my lucky day.

I crochet a lot just to be doing something. My vision is terrible so I asked the eye doctor if it was bad for my eyes to use them that way, he said it was fine and it wouldn't make the vision worse.
I love YouTube. If I need a pattern or instructions it is right there. I also enjoy the music I can find.

This is like writing a letter to nobody. I did that for years. I married at a very dumb age, 17. Seventy some years ago and left my large family and moved from Okla. to Washington state. I was so homesick I would write a letter home about once a week. Mom was the only one that ever wrote to me and that was only once a month if I was lucky. I would give anything if Mom would have saved all those letters for me. What could there have been to write about? Hollis wrote me a letter one time and I still have it. He is ten years younger than me. Hollis ended up moving out here. He chose to live in Snoqualmie, but we see each other now and then.

Life Moves On

I reached ninety years which is a long time. I have no energy left for anything. It may not be caused from the old age. I am going to a Dr. to find out for sure what the problem is.
Summer will soon move out. It'll be 77 tomorrow and cooler through the weekend. I look forward to each season except Winter.
I can live without that one.
I have six granddaughters, and ten great grandkids, and one on the way. It's always fun looking forward to a new baby.
I have tried to keep up with the electronic world. Computers came on the scene before I retired. I was working for the local Credit Bureau and we had a heyday learning about computers. Ours only had credit reports in them. We spent many hours transferring the credit history from a  written report in a small brown envelope into a machine. We eliminated all those filing cabinets. When I retired from there I bought my own personal computer.
I mentioned it to a friend at church and she responded in shock and said she couldn't justify buying one of those things. Well, that set me back a notch or two. You would have thought I had bought a two-headed goat. I realized I was the only one I knew of in my circle of friends that had one. Well, so be it!
I heard about blogs and since I have always enjoyed writing I
decided I can do that. I needed help with the cover page and the layout. This was my favorite pastime writing in the blog.
One day I received a call from a Newspaper reporter and he asked if he could interview me. He said he had found my blog online and couldn't stop reading so he put an article in our local paper about the 80 year old woman blogging about her life. Some other newspapers picked it up and now I'm ninety and tired.
