Waiting for What

Well, here we sit waiting for the other shoe to drop so we can get on with our lives. What if it never drops, are we going to live on the edge till the end of time?  I don't think time comes to an end. I lost my zeal for crocheting.

It can get very boring when you have nothing to talk to but the cat. My phone doesn't even ring. Am I the only one left on the planet? I always hate to call others because they may be busy. We can still text. I just heard my phone ding or was it the Microwave reminding me of something I forgot about.
I am glad I have no little kids to worry about. Imagine being cooped up for days with a couple little kids. Dogs and cats probably don't care as long as you feed them.
Covid-19 is a killer on the loose. He is such a coward and picks on the sick and elderly.
This is all I have to say. Just back up and sit down, it will end soon. I wish.

Remember when phones had tails and computers were two feet tall?

I Like Light

Spring is on the way and I am happy about it. The days are longer and the light is most welcome.
Now the news is on and I bet you can't guess what they are talking about. Stay home and wash your hands. I think people are following the rules. Very little traffic on my street and pedestrians are few and far between.  Well, maybe it'll die out soon and people will be able to enjoy the Summer months.

I haven't been writing anything because I haven't been anywhere or seen anything. I was so sick of hearing about the virus so I found a movie to watch. It turned out to be a scary creepy movie but I watched the whole thing. I am going to find a better one for tonight.
I have nothing to tell you so I will bring this to a close and happy toilet paper searches to you.
I'll bet those toilet paper making businesses are celebrating their success. That success will soon go down the drain. Haha ha, get it? down the drain. This solitary confinement is getting to me.

Old Age is Terminal

This pretty much sums up my life. Sit in the recliner and take random naps. TV gets a little boring.
My  91st birthday is looking for me. It is coming up this month.
I sit in a recliner because my back hurts. I have Osteoporosis and it does a number on you over the years.

Excuse me while I take this call.
Part of my clan.  This is an older picture because that baby is now two years old.

I helped myself to this picture because it reminds me of me. I have no clue what the caption says so I hope I don't get in trouble. If so, my sentence couldn't be too long because I won't be here.

This is all she wrote!

Grey Day

Just thought I'd peek in and see what you are doing.

You look about as bored as I am. This Winter has gone on about as long as it needs to, I am sick of it and would love to see the snow evaporate, but not all at once.
Nothing new in my world and that is fine with me. It's just me and my cat. She is my housekeeper, she paws a few thing off the stand onto the floor. That's her idea of housekeeping.
She just scared the bejeebers out of me by jumping upon the back of my chair and then took a flying leap over the top of me and on to the floor and through the house.  She has been sleeping all day and now has some built up energy.
I am not sure why I started this, I have nothing to write about.
Till next time.

Winter Blahs

The powers that be decided we needed to have a little snow dumped on us. It snowed and blew like there was no tomorrow. It may continue until morning according to the weather forecast.
It's happening over most of the state. It's Winter time so it's expected bla bla bla.
I spend more time watching old YouTubes then TV. I listen to music and to some of the old comedians.  I find free crochet instructions and I can learn better from YouTube than a written pattern. When the Spring thaw happens I am going yarn shopping. I don't like to order it because I need to see it first. Shopping is a real challenge for me. My back hurts when I stand up so I spend most of my time sitting and you can't shop from one of those motorized buggies. I look like a yoyo bobbing up and down to get a better look at something or the aisle is so full of shoppers you can't do anything, but concentrate on your driving, so you don't bump into someone and cause a case of road rage. I guess it would be called lane rage.

Facebook is interesting to me, but  I wish people would keep their political views to themselves.
I don't add much to this blog because I have no life anymore, I'm just idling until I hear my name called.
I'm not on a diet and I know I don't eat nearly as much as I have in the past, but I never lose an ounce. I am so inactive that may be the reason and probably the metabolism has also slowed down like everything else has except the bladder is running in high gear.
It's time to shut up and go look at Facebook again.
Have a great whatever.

Drearyville USA

The sun, she no shine no mo.
Pepsi for breakfast
and one for the show

Nothing to do and all the time in the world to get it done in. Old age is something I wanted to avoid but here it is staring me in the face. Aches and pains you can't explain.
Science has worked relentlessly to find ways to make us live longer so we can enjoy those aches and pains.
When you get here you ask , why can't I just bow out. Now, before ya all start pitching a fit about that statement, let me tell you a thing or two. My Dr. told me that a lot of his elderly patients have the same question.
All of our working parts no longer want to work, but we take medicine that'll make them work so we can enjoy this old age of sitting in a rocker. You sit because it hurts too much to move.
You can't hear anything and can barely see. But keep me alive so I won't miss anything.
Most of my friends have already moved on and half of my kin folk. When is it going to be my turn?
Sorry this is such a downer !

The Calendar Stands Still

In a couple months I will be 90. Am I looking forward to it? No, I am not looking forward to getting any older.
Almost everything got up and left. I now have fake teeth, hearing aids, glasses, that no longer help much, thin hair, memory loss, worn out joints, I wear a contraption over my face called a C pap to keep me breathing while asleep.
Everything either aches or won't do anything. I once had many friends and now they have already departed. Why them and not me? I've been told it's because God still has something for me to do. I wish I knew what it is so I could help make it happen.

When I first started blogging I had no problem thinking of something to write. Now I live such a dull life getting the weeds sprayed is a thrill.

The news stated that George W Bush was treated for fatigue and sent home from the hospital. I'm tired too, but I don't want to be hospitalized so I will suffer in silence.

Its just another day.

More of the Same

My life revolves around a diet and thinking about going on a diet. Well, I can't go on a diet today because I need to eat the rest of the cookies first and I don't want to forget to eat the rest of the ice cream. Oops. I forgot I finished the ice cream off last night. That excuse is no longer available.
All the expectant great grandkids have been born. There is the possibility of having some great-great grandkids, but none on the horizon that I am aware of.
This is life in the golden years. Any family member that is older than I, have already departed this earth. I had 5 brothers and only have 2 left.  I have one sister living and one departed. I seem to be serving a very long sentence for some reason. I am still younger than my parents were when they passed. So shut up and wait. I'm not depressed, I'm bored.
When you can no longer drive makes life even more boring. I have nothing important or interesting to say so I'm just killing time.
One of my great-granddaughters. Shelby, I think.
This was taken some time ago. I think she's 5 now.
