Home Sweet Home

Our former home. 
It brought tears, I can still see my late husband sitting out on the porch waiting for me to come home from work. He already had dinner made. The house was built the year I was born so that must mean it belongs to me. One place says it was built in 1940 and the other says 1928. It was moved from it's orginal location so maybe it was moved in 1940.

More of the Same

I started a blog post and it has somehow disappeared. It isn't in my drafts. I had it named and it just vanished. Now, Polly has the loud Lawn Mower going on under my window and Sassy is trying to get in my face. One thing I've discovered about old age is that you get annoyed much more easily. Since I signed up with Dish Network I have to sign on 20 minutes before the show starts. It takes that long to get the picture to stay on. I have the volume with no picture. May as well buy a radio. When it gets warmed up, I love Dish. I get all the channels. When I had Spectrum it would only allow so many channels unless you paid a lot more.  Dish allows them all. 
What an interesting post this is. Gripe and groan!
Dr Phil is coming on. He sure finds all the strange characters. I guess it should be called mental illness. What you grow up around is what you turn out to be.

Sleep Issues

I have a new malady, at least it's new to me. I sleep almost constantly. This started just a few days. I also sleep all night. Nothing, I mean zero gets done around here because I have no energy to do anything. Well, I was able to empty and refill the dishwasher today. That was a big accomplishment!!! My back hurts when I stand up and my hips hurt when I walk.
I am doing the leg exercises from the bed or a chair. I think it's helping a little.

This is the only subject matter I have. Merle Haggard once said in an interview that being lonely is one of the worst things that can happen to anyone. He also said anyone 90 years old doesn't know anyone older than him/her. He is right, I am 90 and I don't know anyone older than me.
When Chris and I  were eating out the other day and she ran into a friend that was dining with an old lady that was old like me so we struck up a conversation and she was 94. When old people get together we like to boast about our age to each other. You know, the way 5-year old's do.  Is that where the second childhood came from? 
Why do they say to grow old is a blessing? When does the blessing set in? It would be much better if good health could hold out. 
I just heard on the news that the Robot calls are nearly always scams and hopefully they will find a way to stop them. I hope they can enforce a law to put them in jail. I just assume if they call me it is probably a scam. I never do any business over the phone unless  I instigate the call or know the person calling. A ringing phone is the most irritating thing to wake up to. You don't like to unplug the phones in case of an emergency.
