No News is Not News

George W. Bush has just been discharged from the hospital. He has been through a lot recently. I'm glad he is doing well. It must be hard to lose a mate after all those years.
I love that I live where we have the different seasons. I love Spring and Fall the most. It cost more to keep the grass green around here. We can't depend on rain in this area.
My broken ankle is much better, but still hurts at times especially when I go to bed. That's when everything hurts the most. Maybe because being tired make it hurt more. I still have pain in my left side from the Shingles I had two years ago and it keeps me awake at times. I think most people have pain they learn to live with.
I seldom add anything to this blog because nothing ever happens that is worth repeating.

Gripes and Groans

I was born to ramble so ramble I will. I fell on my butt and broke my ankle. I moan and groan and it doesn't help at all. I can't take pain pills because they just add itch to the pain.
Aspirin does about as much good as anything. The boot makes it hurt even more.
It is so painful to find something to eat so I am not eating much at all. I'm sure not cooking anything. It's mostly TV dinners.

I was so sure I had lost a few pounds so I looked in the mirror at my butt, and it's still there, fat as ever. I sit on it all the time and I get no exercise except moving my lips, but with no one here I don't even move my lips. Trips to the bathroom is about all I do.
Kenny and Chris are my errand runners. I don't know what I would do without them. They sit and keep me company sometimes.

Jim, Cora and their girls came one day and brought me Tulips.

I have a TV with Spectrum channels. I like the TLC channel, but they  have lots of repeats. Or if you've seen one, you've seen them all, type of show.  How many 600 pound people do you care to see? Or Hoarders . My least favorite is 'Say Yes to the Dress'. Who cares about the stupid dress. Somehow I just can't get enthused about wedding dresses.
The ankle has been broken for 19 days so all I have to do it tolerate it for another three weeks or so.

More of the Same

I woke up one morning with Shingles. I didn't know they might change my life forever. Forever for me is probably a few years at the most since I have already lived 87 of them. I read up on them after they attacked me. They can be very short lived in some folk and in others they can hang on for years. Since I've had them for two months I am beginning to think I may be plagued with them the rest of my life.
I do not have any new breakouts, but the nerve pain is still active, sharp stabbing pains in my lower left side comes and goes. Some days I hardly notice it, and other days I wear the pain patches. Pain patches only takes the edge off so it can be tolerated. They may work differently for others.
I live here between my four walls and have little to do. I no longer have any close friends. They have all died from old age so why am I still here? I have no where to go, no one is coming home. I glance at the clock for various reasons, not that anything is going to happen. I look forward to the different seasons, and it isn't all that exciting. I tolerate winter and love the other seasons.
I have six granddaughters and eight great grand-kids. When I think about it, I am pleased by the fact that if it wasn't for me those exact same people wouldn't be here. That also goes for my three kids. So maybe I'm worth something after all.
Here are a few pictures.
Deena my first Granddaughter. Her brother, Trent being the typical annoying little brother.

I wanted to add a few more pictures, but blogger is not cooperating with me.
