Sick of Winter

Winter blew in with a vengeance and doesn't seem to have any plans on leaving anytime soon. We do need some wind to blow out some of the smog, fog, and other disgusting elements. Ugly snow decorates the terrain. The temperature stays in the freezing range day and night. It starts getting dark at four o'clock.
It's a recipe for depression.
Nothing exciting to watch on TV.  "Say yes to the dress" does not entertain me. I'd rather watch an old rerun of Daddy Longlegs. I was on board when TV came on the scene. Yakima only had three channels as I recall. It didn't matter what it was we watched it. No TV remote. If you wanted to watch something different you had to get off your butt to change the channel, but that wasn't as challenging for me as it is today.
It'll soon be Spring and we can start complaining about all the pot-holes in the street, and other little annoying things.
I just killed some time doing this so I feel better now.
No rhyme or reason for this photo.

Family Pictures

I love this. Chloe and her little sister.

This top picture is my son, Mel as a baby, and the lower one is Tyler Faris his grandson. Tyler will be one-year-old very soon. You can see a family resemblance. Especially the smile. Anyway, I think so.
I tried to put the photo's side by side, but Blogger won't let it happen. Or maybe I'm losing my bloggering skills.

Been trying to find something to do since the weather is so wet and cold.
Now we have more snow coming tomorrow morning. It's the one day I have an appointment.

This is Mel and Nancy's bough of the family tree. Taken Christmas eve. Me Paleface.

Winter

Winter Time
I am thankful I don't have a sidewalk in front of my yard because I would be responsible for clearing the snow from it. The snow plow came by and cleared the snow from the street, and piled it up against the cars that are parked on the street. The snow freezes into solid ice. I don't know how the drivers will dig their cars out of the snowbanks. We already have 8 inches and now expecting 1 to 3 inches in the morning and below zero by the end of the week.
One good thing about it, I'm saving money on gas.
Meryl Streep wants a little attention I think. Give me a break. I didn't vote for him, but I don't care for her opinion
Now I hope the groundhog doesn't see his shadow. Or is it the other way.

Another Day

The wind is blowing and the snow has fallen. It's still 24 degrees. I caught up on my sleep for another six months. Two times in a lifetime that has happened. I have sit so much my sitter has worn out. There must be something in life other than this, but where is it? The wrinkles are gaining on me. I looked in the mirror. I try not to do that, but sometimes it just happens.  The wrinkles are an accident. When the wrinkles come and the memory goes it's time to time to pull the plug. I already went on a sit-down strike. That's why my sitter is worn out.
I go to Facebook to see what others are doing. The folks on Facebook are in the same boat as I am. They have nothing better to do.
I have some beautiful grand kids. I'll bet my grand kids are prettier than yours. I'm not trying to start a grand kid war, they just are!
Here are a few pictures. See for yourself.
